Spread Love In 2012 – Donate To Believe Out Loud

By Believe Out Loud

This past year, we worked together as a community to spread love. We watched the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. We saw the end of marriage discrimination in New York. We sang praises as the Presbyterian Church expanded ordination rights to LGBT pastors.

And there was so much more! We’ve worked with so many of you to help spread love in your local communities and congregations, in the pursuit of LGBT justice and inclusive Christianity. But today, we need your help! We are looking for 300 Believe Out Loud supporters to join our team in a new way, and believe you are one of them!

Believe Out Loud has seen incredible growth this year.

In a few short months, Believe Out Loud has grown to more than 39,000 followers! Our Facebook page alone receives more than 1 million hits a month from people who come to find support, learn about inclusive Christianity and put their faith into action by promoting equality in their communities.

In 2012, we face an election cycle in which the religious right will once again try to dominate the media, suggesting that theirs is the only voice of Christianity. We, of course, know otherwise.

But we need your help to remain visible! In 2012, we are planning a series of viral messages – pictures, videos and downloads – that make the case for LGBT justice.

Your support – even as little as $25 – will help us to create and spread these messages of faith based LGBT-inclusion.

The religious right has used hateful homophobic messages for decades, spreading the lie that all of Christianity is discriminatory. It is time for us to fight back and show America and the world another face of Christianity: one that fights LGBT oppression and embraces all.

300 people amounts to less than 1% of our followers, but you reflect the leadership we need to keep inclusive Christianity in the public eye!

Please join us today. Together, we can make our churches, our nation and our world a just home for God’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender children.
