VIDEO: Chick-Fil-Gay Sandwich?

By Believe Out Loud

While Chick-Fil-A hopes to step out of the public debate around LGBT equality issues, the company has upset many pro-gay Christians and allies.

As reported in the Los Angeles Times Dan Cathy, president of the company, stated in an interview with Baptist Press that his company is “guilty as charged” as being anti-gay marriage. Hilah Johnson, a cook and LGBT equality ally, has expressed her concern and has cooked up a delicious LGBT friendly alternative.

“I love fried chicken sandwiches at Chick-fil-A,” says Hilah. “Problem is I have a lot of gay friends and I love them too … and Chick-fil-A has made it pretty clear through their political affiliations that they don’t really love the gay people so much, so I can’t really support a company like that.”

“So I have figured out how to make my very own even better than Chick-fil-A fried chicken sandwich and I call it the Chick-Fil-Gay, because it will make you happy!” Watch Hilah cook this fun new sandwich!

Chick-Fil-Gay Sandwich Ingredients:
1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/4 cup pickle juice (sour dill is my favorite)
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
Optional: up to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper for a spicy sandwich
Oil for frying (about a cup)
