Reverand Lang Speaks To Washington On Marriage Equality

The clock is winding down ’till the vote for marriage equality and Referendum 74 in Washington. Washington United for Marriage recently spoke with Rev. Rich Lang, of the University Temple Methodist Church in Seattle, and his wife Cathy, who shared why they are voting for marriage equality November 6th.

For a couple who has been together 29 years, it was not until recently that Rev. Lang realized how important getting married is for everyone. “My shift came because I realized at the very core of my Christianity is the compassion God has shown me towards me,” he said.

His wife, Cathy, agrees.”For a couple to take their vows in front of friends and family means they are together forever and don’t we want that for everybody?”

See what else they have to say
