Facebook Comments And Conversations This Week

This week we started selling the new Believe Out Loud t-shirt on Facebook, and within a few days we received these two comments:

“My BOL T Shirt was in the mail yesterday! It’s great and I can’t wait to wear it at church camp.”

“We have our Gay Pride parade this Saturday in Portland, Maine. I purchased two Believe Out Loud t-shirts and we will be wearing them with the Catholics for Equality group!”

It is a great feeling knowing our new shirts are making their way across the country to different communities and Pride events.

This week we also posted on Facebook a picture of a man and woman who both had shirts that read, “Proud Parent of a Gay Son.” Someone commented in reference to the post:

I LOVE MY GAY SON!!! NO MATTER WHAT!!! i NEED ONE OF THOSE SHIRTS!!!!.” It is amazing to see the love a parent has for their child.

Finally, there were several comments by people stating their support of LGBT equality:

“I am not a Christian, but I am a PROUD supporter of lesbian, gay, and transgender people. One has the right to be with who they love no matter their race or sexual orientation. If you don’t like gays then that’s your problem, it’s not like we are inviting you into our bedrooms. Gays have as much right to marry as any straight person.”

“I appreciate all of you guys support. I’m just guessing that a lot of you are straight as well as probably Christian. That combination usually doesn’t have my back. Thanks from a middle aged gay liberal.”

“I really like this website on Facebook, thank you to the creators.”

Lastly, it is always nice to see support from groups who have similar messages of love. Americans for Marriage Equality on Facebook said:

“We just wanted to say “thank you” to Believe Out Loud for all your efforts! LOVE YOUR PAGE!”
